This fact aside I threw caution to the wind and enjoyed using their breakfast scrub before fake tanning (with the ever brilliant Xen-Tan) and experienced no problems whatsoever. I had also put a tube of HAND FOOD into my bag for any dry hand emergencies. Obviously such emergencies were few and far between as I rarely reached for it until one day a few weeks ago when I was telling my mam about it's amazing scent. At this point it is important to add that at the most I had used this 3 times since I first received it! Anyway, I slathered a thick layer of HAND FOOD onto my hands and left the house as we were going out for dinner.
About 10 minutes later my face started itching like MAD! If anyone has experienced extremely itchy skin conditions you will know what I mean here, I literally wanted to RIP MY FACE OFF!! There was nothing I could do however so I carried on with my meal, all the while my cheeks, jaw line, around my eyes and forehead was itching like crazy.
Once I got home I went straight upstairs to take off my makeup and see what on earth was happening to my face only to find that the skin around my eyes had all swollen up (something which has happened to me before so I didn't panic as much as perhaps one should), I simply took my makeup off and had a long bath, washed my face with my usual Liz Earle, applied some moisturiser and went to bed.
The next day, and every day since, the skin on my face as been AWFUL! Irritated by anything touching it, red, burning hot, itchy and my usually oily/combo skin has become sooo dry!
Can I blame this all on the seemingly innocent HAND FOOD? It seems like pointing the finger of blame if I'm honest, but I will add a link to the Soap and Glory website where you can hover over the ingredients in the HAND FOOD product incase anyone reading this knows about this kind of thing!
